We live in an era where consumers more than ever before, are now paying strict attention to healthier eating habits. Even fast foods eateries such as McDonalds and Burger King are now committed to serving healthier foods to their valued customers.

Likewise, Caribbean Frozen Foods has taken the giant steps to add certain healthy ingredients to our Jamaican style patties while removing certain unhealthy traditional ingredients - all designed to making these delicious products much healthier for the consumers.

In adopting our new slogan “EAT SMART,” we are proud to announce that that our patties no longer contain “BEEF SUET”. For those who are unaware, beef suet is raw beef fat, especially the hard fat found around the loins and kidneys of cattle. This ingredient is traditionally used when making the crust of Jamaican patties. Though it makes the crust moist and flakey, beef suet has never been a heart healthy ingredient. For us this decision to completely remove it was the correct approach for the healthy well being of our valued customers. We proudly refer to these new items as:

The SmartPatty. Our crust is less flakey but more heart healthy.

According to the American Heart Association, heart disease is the #1 killer of American women as well as men. So when we make the right choices in eating for our heart, these statistics can be transformed into lifesaving actions.

To make our patties healthier, we have also added (B1); (B2); (B6); (B12), and there’s zero gram of trans-fat in both beef and chicken.

We accomplish all these feats while still maintaining our authentic traditional Jamaican taste. Please read the comparative charts below for further health information.
